Nicky North 02:22
Which way has Nicky North decided to go Inside he wrestles with mortality Sit back and watch as he just fumbles and falls Looks like reality’s killing him slowly Is he lost or does he know where to go Razor’s edge above insanity You’ll find him there on his own Just look him in the eyes and tell him that he doesn’t know himself Good God, looks like he’s at it again Dear God, please go tell his family and friends His life is heading straight for the edge of a cliff So everybody look out below Yeah, that he doesn’t know himself Turned around and lost in the sound Drowning in confusion now Constantly conditioned to fall He’s Nicky North and we are sure that he’s not sure where to go Realistic illusion that’s surely gonna fool you all He’s Nicky North and we are sure that he’s not sure where to go

Headed Home 02:40
Tryna find a way out of this cage And I’ve paid for my mistakes I’m making my great, making my great escape Tryna hitch a ride on the next train And it’s headed right this way I’m digging my own, digging my own grave Now I’m headed home And I’m on my own I know where to go I’m just following the footsteps that will take me home Tryna pull the words outta this page And they all just look the same I’m writing my own, writing my own fate Seems I’ve lost all control and I’m spinning around The plane I’m on is crashing slowly spirling down The path I’m taking trails on Feels like I’ve been here before The woods give way to a house As I just walk towards that door I make my way up the steps Feels like I’ve been here before One foot in front of the next As I just open the door

Bear 04:06
My head gets filled with your hopes and dreams So how will I know what its like to be me I’m so tired can you stay here and sleep Please hold on And will you please hold me when I weep Please hold on Time ticks on slowly while I’m glued to the seat Stuck tryna compromise down a one way street Not dumb or blind but still I turn off the plea Can’t hold on I’ve been wrong before but I can’t agree Can’t hold on And so I hold onto the love it’s all that I know Equip my mask and step outside again all alone My hearts beating so hard its hard to breathe Lost in translation, lost at sea Enough is enough, I’ve got to find the key I’ll hold on But nobody has it so where could it be I’ll hold on And so I hold onto the love it’s all that I know And now I’ve grown tired of stepping outside again all alone It’s time to get away and get back to where I truly belong Take my heart and pain and forge it into your own I’ll be free

The Fall 02:58
It seems at last, its come to pass My baby left me and she’s all that I had I knew this night would come the day I was born She never looked back as she reached for the door I probably could have begged or even prayed But in my mind I know that if she had stayed It wouldn’t change a thing, she’d get off clean She’ll never hear these words and yet here I sing It’s the way that you break the fall It’s the timing and structure that buckling and crumbling down It’s the way that you say it all To react is just natural so I’ll stand by and not make a sound And while she’s out on the town I’m still at home six feet underground When I close my eyes, I see her face A mental picture that I cannot erase No matter how hard I try, no matter how much I lie I can’t undo what is set in my mind My heart still beats but much slower now Just listen closely and you’ll still hear the sound It seems at last, a year has past Time has a funny way of moving fast A chapter gone, a new day’s dawn And time just keeps on ticking and ticking and ticking On

My Head 02:43
I can see the world around me spinning slowly You and me caught in current gently floating Never knowing the path were taking Truly clueless but yeah I’m faking it Always pretending that I know what I’m doing Never know, never know what’s in my head I hear your voice and it sounds so soothing I never know, never know what’s in my head I can see just what you’re thinking behind your glass eyes A thousand words are spoken by you through a long sigh Always showing with no room left to guess Holding my cards so tightly to my chest Head, you never know what’s in my Head, you never know what’s in my Head, you never know what’s in my Head

about

The band started writing music for the EP back in 2017. In 2018, we had a period of cycling through multiple guitarists trying to find someone to contribute lead riffs to the mix. We actually recorded a version of this in 2018 with a guitarist named Andy Conrad.

Andy left the band, so Nicky was once again on the hunt for someone to complete the puzzle. We didn't have to look far, because our very own cousin/sister Claire began to jam with us at practice. She played the flute at Saint V High School (Akron) and was able a perfect fit.

A bit unconventional, we then went through and rerecorded all the lead guitar parts as flute licks. The product was the unique sound of this EP. We recorded the entire thing in a basement with some SM57s and a Scarlett interface.

Mixed/Mastered: Alex Styles (Our guitarist)
