Let Go 04:01
A cigarette stuck in her hand Caught deep in the undertow With a mission in her head Let's see how far she goes Her lips are burning red And her face is white as snow But they’re all left singing All left screaming Begging her to let them know A dangerous idea grows A slight of hand picture show Left to manifest in her dreams While reality just screams No opinion of her own Fits neat as a puzzle piece But it's so damn easy way too simple To blindly just disagree Afraid of the great unknown Afraid of just letting go Old ideas born inside of her head Over and over again Afraid of the great unknown Afraid of just saying no Saying things that have already been said Over and over again You hate the things you don’t know It's a scary place so hide your face A closed off mind can not grow You have to face your fears open your ears Afraid of the great unknown Afraid to just letting go Old ideas born inside of her head Over and over again

When you killed your mind And you gave up hope That’s when they will say that you’ve grown When the path diverged Took the easy road You will reap the seeds you’ve sown Look out we’ve all become assassins Were trained to kill our hopes and dreams We place the blade against our own hearts Conditioned with no blood to bleed How’d you get so lost Lost along the way You let others drive you insane Waking up is hard But it’s much harder to stand To stand up for the dreams you have We have trained our hearts Taught them not beat The assassin code Has made us killing machines We have trained our brains Taught them not think The assassin code Has made us killing machines Yeah When the sun rises up I’m gonna write down my dreams I won’t forget what I want I won’t neglect what I need A license to kill But soon will come the day When you have to choose If your dreams will stay Will you break the code Take a leap of faith Or will you wonder what should’ve could’ve been Had it not been too late

Pigeon Neck 03:40
Hey, listen what’s your attitude I just want you all to find your own groove You don’t have to do what they say It’s your life go flex your own way This message here people you better listen fast Cuz life’s too short gotta make it last Who’s job is to say what is cool only you Follow your personal avenue So what that you’re so different from All of the haters and the humdrum scum Things they’ll saw start creeping through Don’t gotta change who you are just what you do When they pressure that you outta be ashamed For not being the same you just explain I am my own music and I love how it sounds so I flex My pigeon neck When their words have been spoken Will they cut through and bleed Will you mend what is broken Face insecurities This song is your token With just one small fee You won’t try to be no other Oh promise me Now it’s about time I’ll ask you Which part of you will stay It’s a big bad world out there Will you come out and play? This life will put you through the ringer Face your fears only if you wanna grow And if no one else listens Just go with your own flow When their words have been spoken Will they cut through and bleed Will you mend what is broken Face securities Use this song as your token Don’t end up like me You won’t try be no other Won’t you promise me? Heres a rule about being yourself Not letting anyone else mess with your groove come follow along to the song Pete and logan show em how break it down now Let me see your pigeon neck Let me see your pigeon neck Here a rule about being yourself Not letting anyone else mess with your groove Come follow along to the sound Pete Logan show em how to break it down now Boy, you as funky as you look Get funky with it! Yeah!

Rhythm 02:45
You know you got The Rhythm inside your soul Before you believe that you got it in you Your body ja-jumps around until you get Your own groove Suddenly all your control is lost You’re a puppet to the rhythm And a slave to the rock And it feels so good Like you know it should And it feels so right It’ll blow your mind It’s called the rhythm It’s all about the rhythm That change your mind OoooOOHH Rhythm that change like this Falling in the pocket of the song you vibe with it You can’t resist it when your body starts to jive with us So come on and get loose get unstuck from those shoes In the R-H-Y-T-H-M it’s called RHYTHM And if feels so good Like you know it should And it feels so right It might start with the bass And a little bit of drums Play me the guitar And vocals yeah Now play me the flute Come with me you know we got the rhythm now Come with me you know we got the rhythm now Come with me you know we got the rhythm now Come with me you know we got the rhythm now Yeah common

about

Sample Platter was a product of the bands desire to try and make more interesting music. We experimented with breaking out of the verse chorus pattern and attempted to let the song naturally progress.

The first half of the EP is an exploration of different sounding chords and ways to connect them all together with fun riffs.

The second half dives into our funky side, featuring a sick slapping solo from our bassest Logan.
